An exceptional marriage of quintessential CHANEL: luminous Gripoix poured glass, gilt bronze and woven lace calfskin leather chain is now elevated with the introduction of a rainbow of natural gemstones. A panoply of agate and hard stone mosaics in vibrantly rich, earthy-hues create a kaleidoscope of luxurious colors. As a central focal point is an enormous Maison Gripoix raspberry poured glass cabochon in all of its molten light-refracting splendor. Encompassing all of the hues from cherry red to Magenta then Burgundy depending on the source of light. Six faceted crystals in fuchsia and emerald green take this jewel to the next level of SPECTACULAR.
Three versions of this exceptional brooch series exist and are available for sale @TheParisMademoiselle: A convex flower/cross; a flat square Maltese cross and this spectacular star. This six-pointed star example was in the CHANEL advertising campaign of Autumn 1995 featuring supermodel Shalom Harlow and depicted extensively in the international press, including Vogue.
